


As a seaside town, Selsey offers everyone good beaches, clean water, wonderful seafood, excellent sea fishing opportunities and some of the best sunshine in the UK. You will notice that Selsey is a quiet place, not least because we don’t have any through traffic, everyone who is here is here because they want to be. visit the most southerly point in West Sussex. When you walk about Selsey you will see we have our fair share of ‘Blue Plaques’ in various places. Our history includes a vital link with the D Day landings. Some of the Mulberry Harbours were hidden off Selsey during the build up to the landings, The High Street offers our visitors a wide range of shops including some very old establishments that make us unique, as well as some very new shops that you would expect to see. One thing you will notice is that we are certainly not Anytown, Anywhere when it comes to shopping. Selsey has an enormous range of activities going on throughout the year. Almost uniquely, Selsey has a carnival in the summer with a parade round the streets. Our Festival is another great opportunity to see what Selsey has to offer. Whatever your reason for coming to Selsey there is something for you to see and do, then take the memories home and enjoy the recollections, during the dark winter nights, of your summer spent by the sea. |
